For furniture or artifacts damaged by fire, flooding or transit, Gregg Perry Conservators will travel the eastern United States, eastern Canada, Great Britain and Europe to provide estimates for insurance purposes, condition reports and treatment proposals. Object examination can be handled on-site or in our conservation studio. A condition report is prepared outlining the object’s issues, current condition overall and percentage of damage. Next, a treatment proposal is submitted outlining our recommendations for treatment, and will contain what work is to be preformed with associated fees and the deposit amount required to commence. A treatment report will be provided to the client with photo documentation. A list of shippers for transportation will be provided to the client.
